What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is an artificial root made of titanium that is placed into your natural bone, an artificial tooth is then fixed onto the titanium root. The dental implant itself can be used to hold a single tooth or multiple teeth.
Dental implants are a natural-looking, effective and permanent treatment for replacing your missing tooth or teeth.
How does it work?
Your implant is surgically placed into the jawbone and integrates with the surrounding bone material. This integration process can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months after which it is restored with an artificial crown.
Implants can also be used to provide support for bridges, crowns or dentures, and can replace more than one tooth if needed.
