Hermitage Dental Practice have a fantastic opportunity for a keen and committed Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our enthusiastic and friendly team. We are looking to hire talented individuals who share our passion for learning new skills and are ready to join us in the next chapter of our exciting journey. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to pursue a career in dental nursing in a patient centred environment and to train to be a fully qualified Dental Nurse.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the dentist during dental procedures
Preparing the surgery and equipment
Maintaining a clean and sterile environment
Providing support and reassurance to patients
Ensuring that patients are comfortable and relaxed during procedures
Processing and sterilising dental instruments
Developing digital radiographs
Providing administrative support such as booking appointments and maintaining patient records
Following all health and safety procedures and protocols
Keeping up to date with new developments in dental technology and techniques
Requirements:
No previous experience required as full training will be given
A keen interest in dental nursing and a desire to learn and develop new skills
Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong organisational skills
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility and willingness to learn
Excellent IT skills
Must be committed to attending college classes and completing the dental nursing qualification

You must hold GCSE qualifications at grade 4/C and above in both English and Maths for this role.
The successful applicant will be appointed subject to a satisfactory DBS check. You will also be required to undertake immunisations for Hepatitis B.
